Guillaume Bouillon

Cello teacher

Guillaume Bouillon started playing the cello at the age of 9 at the Conservatoire de Cambrai in the class of Emmanuel Puigdemont. He also studied for two years with Odile Bourdin at the Conservatoire du 10e arrondissement in Paris. He then studied with Hélène Dautry - whom he met during training courses - at the Lille Conservatory. He obtained his Diploma of Musical Studies in 2009. In search of new horizons, Guillaume is admitted that same year to the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne and enters the class of Patrick Demenga. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in 2012 and his Master's degree in Concert Performance in 2014 with the same professor. Guillaume continues to diversify his knowledge with a second Master's degree, in Pedagogy, obtained in 2016, with Marc Jaermann.

As a cellist, he is active in several orchestras. As a substitute in the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, the Geneva Chamber Orchestra, trainee and substitute in the Sinfonietta of Lausanne. In Chamber Music, he is founder of the Eras Duo with Bruno Dias with whom he plays regularly. From 2014 to 2019, he is a member of the Ensemble Contemporain Sargo with whom he works in the form of workshops with the composition class of D. Ammann at the Hochschule de Lucerne. Since 2015, Guillaume is a Member of the Ensemble Diachronie in Fribourg. In 2012 he played the Saint-Saëns Concerto as a soloist with the Allegro Passionnata Orchestra. In 2016 Guillaume played the Haydn Concerto as a soloist with the OJSR. He performs solo and chamber music in different festivals: Bach Festival in Lausanne, solo. Festival des Jardins Musicaux, with the Sine Nomine Quartet, and Montreux Jazz Festival in quartet. He is also regularly involved in original projects with other artists such as the Cantamisù Theatre Company and various projects with dancers. A grant from the Irène Dénéréaz Foundation was awarded to him in 2018.

Guillaume is passionate about pedagogy and teaching. He has been a teacher since 2016 at the Épalinges School of Music, and since the start of the 2017 school year at the Conservatoire de Musique du Nord Vaudois in Yverdon-les-Bains. He is regularly involved in Mediation Concerts where he creates interactions for adults, seniors as well as children. In 2016 he received the Paleo grant for his mediation work. Guillaume continues to perfect his skills through Masterclasses and workshops with great performers such as Jérôme Pernoo, Anthony Leroy, Franz Helmerson, Gary Hoffman, Orfeo Mandozzi as well as the Debussy Quartet. Between 2019 and 2022 Guillaume performs in chamber music with different groups and artists; on ice with Stephane Walker, Swiss figure skating champion; he plays since 2020 with the cello quartet Croma in Switzerland and Italy. He plays in trio with Irene Puccia and also in the Duo "Vibrations de Bois et de Métal" with the flutist Yu-Hsuan Kuo in Switzerland and France. Both are members of the Association "Les Concerts du Cœur" which is committed to helping the elderly, hospitalized people and orphans through concerts and workshops.
