Aurore Grosclaude
Piano teacher
Aurore Grosclaude, pianist born in 1998 and native of Switzerland, has achieved her studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris with Michel Dalberto and Claire-Marie Le Guay as well as at the Hochschule für Musik Basel with Claudio Martínez Mehner after having obtained a Master’s degree in pedagogy with Christian Favre at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the Strasbourg University and at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg.
She is a laureate of many national and international competitions: she won twice the 1st prize at the Swiss Youth Music Competition (2011 and 2015), the 3rd prize at the Lausanne Music Interpretation Competition (2015 and 2021) as well as at the Lavaux Classic Competition (2022), the Honorable Mention at the Rosario Marciano Competition Vienna (2016) and the special prize Swiss virtuoso at the Val de Travers International Piano Competition (2018). In 2022, she was also a quarter-finalist at the 76th Geneva Competition and has been selected for the Clara Haskil Competition 2023.
Aurore has performed in recital in Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, as well as a soloist with orchestras such as the Budweis Philharmonic Orchestra, the Sinfonieorchester Basel, the Orchestre des Jeunes de la Suisse Romande, Nexus Ensemble, or the Lausanne Camerata. She often appears as a soloist and chamber musician in festivals such as Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad, Festival Sine Nomine, Festival Lavaux Classic, Puplinge Classique, les Classiques de Mathod, or Week-end Musical de Pully.
She is invited to appear on Swiss Radio (RTS) and recorded a first CD in 2022, released on the Claves Records label. Aurore regularly works with artists from different background and has created several performances mixing music with dance, poetry or theater. She also collaborates with composers such as Jean-Sélim Abdelmoula, William Blank or Guy-François Leuenberger.
In 2021, Aurore was supported with a scholarship from the Rahn Kulturfonds Zürich and she has benefited from the teaching of outstanding teachers such as Abdel Rahman El Bacha, Eduardo Delgado, Pascal Rogé, Anton Kernjak, Eldar Nebolsin, Cédric Pescia, Florent Boffard, Lilya Zilbertstein, Vincent Coq, François Salque, Steven Isserlis, or Renaud Capuçon.
